Licenses
Lost Architecture / Zudusī arhitektūra is a public archive. The site does not own the content — it stores and displays it.
1. Submitted content
Each house, street art piece, or gallery uses the license the submitter chose on the form:
- CC BY-SA 4.0 — default. You may copy, adapt, and use it commercially if you credit the source and share under the same license.
- CC BY-SA 3.0 — the older ShareAlike license. You may copy, adapt, and use it commercially if you credit the source and share under the same license.
- CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 — the same, but no commercial use.
- CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 — you may copy it non-commercially, without adaptations, with credit.
- CC0 — public domain dedication. Anyone may copy, adapt, and use it, including commercially, and credit is not required.
The license covers that entry’s photos, video, documents, and text unless stated otherwise.
2. Data and tables
Structured data (title, country, city, address, years, coordinates, status) may be used for research, education, and search tools, including Grok and other assistants, with attribution:
Source: Lost Architecture / lost-architecture.com Source: [Author], Lost Architecture / lost-architecture.com
If the entry has a name, include the author. If it is anonymous, the site name is enough.
If an entry has a stricter content license (NC / ND), the file itself (photo, video, document) may be used only within that license. The data row in the table remains citable.
Approved entries only. The file has title, place, years, license, author when a name was given, sources when they were added, and a link. No private notes.
3. Brand and code
The name, logo, and site design are not Creative Commons. Do not use them as the identity of your own project.
The program code is not open at this time.
4. How to credit
This is enough:
“Title”. Lost Architecture. https://www.lost-architecture.com/house/[id] License: [CC variant from the card]. If a name is given: “Title”. Author. Lost Architecture. https://www.lost-architecture.com/house/[id] License: [CC variant from the card].
5. Licences, complaints, and research
